As we round towards the end of 2021, we thought we would catch you up on what First Steps Pediatric Therapy (FSPT) has been up to. The beginning of 2020 changed so many lives, and with that, we also had to change. With the world moving into a global pandemic and “normal” being a term that seemed so far from our vocabulary, we had to think of new ways to continue to help the kiddos and families we serve. At the start of shut down, we transitioned all of our services to telehealth within a weekend and kept providing Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy to the public. By the summer of 2020, we had created a thorough infection control process for our staff and the families we serve. Offering personal protective equipment (PPE) to not only our therapists but to any family who needed it, and by early fall 2020, were able to provide in-person services again.

Today, we are continuously reviewing our processes to maintain the highest quality of safety for all staff and the families we serve and continue to offer both telehealth therapy services and in-person home health therapy services. We are proud to have ridden this pandemic roller coaster with you and continue to provide care, support, and resources to those who need us most.
To all of you who transitioned through these changes with us and continued to trust us with your child’s therapeutic needs, safety, and health, we appreciate you and value the opportunity to continue to serve you. To those of you who joined our FSPT family during the pandemic and to those of you seeking out services with us, thank you for instilling your trust in us. We are honored to welcome you to the First Steps Family, serve you, and help your child take their First Steps towards success.
